MB-06 covers a wide range: 18 mm works well for the front of a jacket or cardigan, while 28 mm is used for coats and women's jackets.

Design and details

"Knot" recreates a tied knot in metal – a classic motif for women's jackets, cardigans and coats. The coating is even and hard-wearing, and the relief catches the light and emphasises the shape of the design.

Colour and pairing

Choose the colour to match the fabric and the other details of the garment:

• Nickel – a light silvery metal that looks good on grey, black, navy and white.
• The gold tone looks best on navy, black, burgundy and camel.
• Gun metal – a dark graphite metal, more restrained than nickel; a good choice for grey, black and olive garments and for denim.
• Shiny black – a glossy black coating for black and dark garments and eveningwear.

Nickel suits modern, cool palettes – black, grey, white, navy – and garments with silver-tone metal accessories. Shiny black looks elegant on black, navy and white fabrics and gives an evening feel. Tip: if the garment has other metal elements – a zip, buckles or snaps – choose a button in the same metal colour.

Sewing on and buttonholes

The button has a shank underneath, so the face stays free of holes and stitching; the shank lifts the button above the fabric and leaves room for thick materials. Guide to buttonhole length (diameter plus button thickness): 18 mm – approx. 21–23 mm; 22 mm – approx. 25–27 mm; 28 mm – approx. 31–33 mm. Make a test on the same fabric.
