Custom clothing labels carry the brand name, size, composition and care instructions – and at the same time tell the buyer what level of quality to expect. Polkom is a Bulgarian manufacturer of accessories for fashion, furniture, footwear and bags, based in Sofia, with over 30 years of experience. Which custom clothing labels we make

Woven labels

Woven labels are made on jacquard looms – the logo is woven into the tape itself, so it does not fade or rub off. This is the most popular choice for the main brand label.

Printed and textile labels

Printed labels are printed on satin, polyester or cotton tape and fit a lot of information into a small area. Soft tapes for branding and additional information are grouped under textile labels.

Consumer information labels

Composition labels – fibre composition in percentages, in line with EU requirements.
Wash care labels – care symbols according to ISO 3758.
Size labels – letter, numeric and children's sizes, woven or printed.

Leather and silicone labels

Leather labels are a classic on jeans, jackets, bags and hats. We offer two main options: genuine leather labels with a natural grain and patina, and faux leather labels (PU, vegan leather) with an even colour. For sportswear, swimwear and bags, silicone labels with a raised logo are a good fit.

Patches, hang tags and seal tags

Patches are sewn or heat-applied on the outside of the item. Hang tags hang on the garment in the shop and carry the price, barcode or brand story, while seal tags attach them securely. For events we also make fabric wristbands with a logo.

Materials and finishes

The material is chosen according to the item and where the label goes. A label that touches the skin must be soft and smooth; a label on a jeans waistband or a bag has to withstand friction and strain.

Materials: polyester damask, satin, taffeta, cotton tape, non-woven fabric, genuine and faux leather, silicone, card and kraft paper.
Folding: flat label with straight cut, centre fold, end fold or mitre fold.
Cutting: ultrasonic or hot-knife cutting, so the edges are sealed and do not fray.
Attachment: sewing, heat-press adhesive, rivets or a hanging string.
Colours: matched to Pantone or to a fabric sample from the collection.

How to order custom labels

Send us your logo (preferably in vector format), the label type and size, colours, folding method and approximate quantity. We prepare a mock-up and a quote, a physical sample if needed, and after your approval the production order. Minimum quantities and lead times depend on the label type and are available on request. Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between woven and printed labels?

On woven labels the logo is formed by interwoven coloured threads, so they are very durable and look more luxurious. Printed labels are printed onto tape and allow finer text, more information and more complex graphics. Many brands combine a woven main label with a printed composition and care label.

Which files are needed for logo labels?

Ideally the logo should be in vector format – AI, PDF, SVG or EPS, with text converted to outlines. If you only have a raster image, send it in the highest resolution available and we will advise you on preparing it for weaving or printing before we create the mock-up.

What is the minimum order quantity for labels?

Minimum quantities depend on the label type, material, technology and number of colours, so we do not publish fixed figures. Send an enquiry describing the label and the approximate run, and you will receive specific information together with the quote.

How long does production take?

The lead time depends on the label type, the complexity of the design, whether a physical sample is needed and the quantity. We give you the exact time for the sample and for series production with the quote. If you have a fixed launch date for the collection, mention it in your first enquiry.

Can I order all the labels for a collection at once?

Yes. We can make the main brand label, size label, wash care label, composition label and hang tag in one order. That way the elements match in colour and style, and they are delivered in one shipment together with other accessories, if you need them.

Must the composition and care instructions be on the same label?

No. The fibre composition and care symbols are often printed on one label, but they can also be on separate labels or on several pages sewn in together. What matters is that the information is permanent, legible and in the language of the market where the item is sold.

Do you make labels for footwear, bags and furniture?

Yes. Besides clothing, we make labels for footwear, bags, accessories, upholstered furniture and home textiles. For these items, leather, silicone or dense woven labels are often chosen, as they withstand friction and strain.

Do you deliver labels outside Bulgaria?

Yes. We deliver labels to customers throughout the European Union. The delivery method is agreed when the order is confirmed, based on the quantity and address, and you can receive the labels together with other accessories from our range.
