Custom Silicone Labels with Logo

Flexible, waterproof silicone labels with a raised 2D or 3D logo, made by the manufacturer for sportswear, swimwear, bags and shoes – to your design and colours.

Silicone labels: a logo that withstands water, sweat and abrasion

Silicone labels are flexible badges in which the logo is cast in a mould and gets a clear, tactile relief. Unlike print, which can crack or rub off over time, a moulded logo is part of the material itself. That is why silicone logo labels remain legible after many washes, in contact with water, sweat and abrasion, and when worn outdoors. They are the preferred choice for sports brands, swimwear and lingerie makers, childrenswear, bags, backpacks and shoes.

Polkom makes custom silicone labels – from preparing the design and mould to an approved sample and series production. We help you choose the relief type, thickness, colours and attachment method according to the item.

2D and 3D silicone labels

2D labels

In the 2D version the logo and background sit on two or more flat levels – the elements are raised but have a flat top surface. The result is a clean, graphic look that renders text, geometric shapes and logos with clear outlines well. 2D labels are the more economical option and suit most garments.

3D labels

With 3D labels the relief is volumetric and smooth, with rounded transitions, different heights and sculpted details. The logo looks like a small relief badge and is noticeable from afar. This option suits jackets, backpacks, caps and premium sports collections.

Silicone or TPU and soft PVC rubber

Labels in this group are made from silicone or from thermoplastic materials such as TPU and soft PVC rubber. Silicone is softer, pleasant to the touch and withstands high temperatures, so it suits items in direct contact with the skin – leggings, swimwear, lingerie and children's clothing. TPU and rubber materials give solid colours and a sharper relief and are a good choice for bags, shoes, workwear and accessories. We will recommend a material based on use, washing method and the look you want.

Properties and benefits

  • Flexibility: the label follows the movement of the fabric and does not break when bent.
  • Durability: resistant to water, moisture, sweat, abrasion and weather.
  • Soft touch: no sharp edges, comfortable even for next-to-skin items.
  • Rich colours: matched to Pantone or a sample, and they do not fade.
  • Freedom of shape: round, rectangular, shield or cut to the outline of the logo.

Attaching to the item

Silicone labels can have a thin sewing margin that the needle passes through without affecting the relief. Another option is heat-sealing: the label is applied with a press and is convenient for performance and stretch fabrics where stitching is not desirable. For shoes, bags and harder surfaces, adhesive or special fastenings are used, and on backpacks and caps stitching and adhesive are often combined.

Where silicone labels are used

  • sportswear, leggings and team kits;
  • swimwear and lingerie;
  • jackets, sweatshirts and outerwear;
  • childrenswear;
  • bags, backpacks and cases;
  • shoes, caps and promotional items such as key rings.

Combining with other labels

A silicone label is often the brand's outer mark, while inside the item there are woven labels and care labels with the care information. For denim and outdoor collections, leather labels are a good addition. You will find the full range in the Labels category.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a 2D and a 3D silicone label?
On a 2D label the logo elements sit on flat levels with a flat surface, giving a clean graphic look and a more economical mould. On a 3D label the relief is volumetric with rounded transitions, so the logo looks like a small sculpture. The choice depends on the design, the item and the budget – we will advise you once we have seen your logo.
Can a silicone label go in the washing machine?
Yes. Silicone and TPU labels are resistant to water, detergents and abrasion, which is why they are widely used on sportswear and swimwear. It is important that the attachment method suits the fabric and the washing temperature. For heat-sealing we will recommend the right adhesive and pressing settings and, if needed, stitching.
How many colours can a silicone label have?
Silicone labels can be single-colour or multicolour, with each colour matched to Pantone or a physical sample. The number of colours affects the complexity of production, so it is best to send us your design at the start. We will tell you whether the details are suitable for moulding and whether simplification is needed.
Are silicone labels suitable for children's clothing?
Silicone is soft, has no sharp edges and is pleasant to the touch, so it is often chosen for childrenswear. OEKO-TEX® certification is available for all Polkom products. For children's items we recommend thinner, flexible labels and secure attachment so that they do not come off during wear and washing.
