Leather Labels with Your Logo for Clothing and Bags

Leather labels and patches in genuine and eco leather with a debossed, laser or printed logo, made by the manufacturer for jeans, jackets, bags and hats.

Leather labels: character and durability

Leather labels are among the most recognisable branding elements on jeans, jackets, bags and hats. They add a sense of craftsmanship, durability and premium quality that woven and printed labels struggle to match. The classic example is the leather patch on the back waistband of jeans, but leather labels are also used on backpacks, wallets, workwear, knitted hats and home textiles.

Polkom manufactures custom leather labels with the customer's logo. We help you choose the material, size, colour and marking technique to suit the item and your brand style.

Genuine or eco leather

Genuine leather

Genuine leather has a living structure and develops a patina over time, which makes it the favourite for vintage, denim and luxury collections. Every label has a slightly different grain, which underlines the authenticity of the item.

Eco (faux) leather

Eco leather is more affordable and offers an even colour and surface with a wide choice of colours. It suits mass production and brands that do not use animal products. There is also a jacron option, a cellulose-based material that looks like leather and is used on jeans.

Marking techniques

  • Debossing: the logo is pressed in with a heated die. Classic and durable.
  • Embossing: the logo is raised above the surface.
  • Hot foil stamping: gold, silver or coloured foil for contrast.
  • Laser engraving: precise lines and fine detail, suitable for complex logos.
  • Screen printing: colour printing on the leather for multicolour designs.

Shapes, sizes and attachment

Leather labels are cut in rectangular, oval or custom shapes. The size is matched to the placement: larger patches for jeans waistbands, smaller ones for hats, pockets and accessories. The label can be stitched around the edge, fixed with metal eyelets or rivets, or made with pre-punched stitching holes.

Personalisation and coordination

The colour of the leather and the marking is chosen to suit the collection, from natural brown and cognac to black, grey or coloured shades. Leather labels pair well with kraft-style hang tags and with metal buttons and rivets, which together build the complete look of a denim collection.

Care and durability

Leather labels for clothing are chosen with the item's care in mind. For jeans that are washed often, the leather must be well treated and moisture resistant. For bags and accessories that are not washed, a softer, finer leather with more pronounced texture can be used. We will advise which material suits your product, and the sample lets you test the label on a real item.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which type of leather is better for jeans labels?
Genuine leather is the classic choice for jeans: it is durable and develops a beautiful patina over time. Eco leather and jacron are more cost-effective alternatives with an even colour, suitable for larger runs. The choice depends on your brand positioning, budget and collection style.
Do leather labels withstand washing?
Leather labels for clothing are selected to withstand the item's normal washing, especially on jeans. Even so, genuine leather may change tone slightly and soften over time, which is part of its character. For specific requirements, we will recommend the most suitable material and make a sample.
Can the logo be in colour on a leather label?
Yes. Besides classic debossing without colour, the logo can be screen printed in coloured ink or applied by hot foil stamping in gold, silver or coloured foil. Laser engraving creates a contrasting darkening that suits fine details and small lettering.
