Wholesale Organza Ribbon – Light and Sheer

Sheer organza ribbon with a fine shimmer for gift wrapping, pouches, wedding decorations and fashion details – direct from the manufacturer, in a range of widths and colours.

Organza ribbon – lightness and a delicate shimmer

Organza ribbon is woven from fine, tightly twisted yarns, most often polyester, in an open structure that lets light through. The result is a light, sheer ribbon with a slightly crisp handle and a delicate shimmer. Organza holds the shape of a bow well without weighing it down and gives any product an airy, festive look. That is why it is among the most used decorative ribbons in packaging, floristry and festive decoration.

Polkom supplies wholesale organza ribbon to packaging manufacturers, florists, wedding planners, clothing manufacturers and distributors across the EU – in standard colours from stock or made to order.

Uses of organza ribbon

  • gift wrapping, boxes and pouches;
  • wedding and festive decorations, favour boxes;
  • floral arrangements and bouquets;
  • fashion details – bows on dresses, childrenswear, hair accessories;
  • decoration of cosmetic and souvenir products;
  • handmade products and interior decoration.

Types and widths

Organza ribbon is available with a woven edge that does not fray, or with a heat-cut edge. Besides plain organza, ribbons with a pearl or metallic effect, with lamé yarn, and with a decorative satin edge that combines sheerness and sheen are in demand.

  • narrow widths (3–10 mm) – small bows, jewellery, tags;
  • medium widths (15–25 mm) – standard gift wrapping and pouches;
  • wide widths (40 mm and above) – large bows, event decoration and displays.

Pantone colours

The organza colour range is very wide: classic white and ivory for weddings, pastel shades such as blush, cream and lavender, rich colours for festive decoration, and pearl, gold and silver tones. On request, we dye to Pantone or to a sample so the ribbon matches the packaging or the brand colours.

Organza for packaging and branding

For cosmetics brands, patisseries, jewellers and souvenir makers, organza is an easy way to make packaging look more carefully prepared. The ribbon can be combined with a label or a hang tag with a logo and, for larger quantities, dyed in the corporate colour. If you sell ready-made pouches, organza is also a practical material for ties because it is light and does not weigh the packaging down. You can order it together with labels and other haberdashery.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is organza ribbon used for?
Organza ribbon is used mainly for decoration – gift wrapping, pouches, wedding and festive decorations, favour boxes, floral arrangements and fashion details such as bows on dresses and hair accessories. It is light and sheer and holds the shape of a bow well without becoming heavy.
Does organza ribbon fray?
Ribbon with a woven edge does not fray along its length. When cut, the ends of polyester organza can unravel, so they are sealed with a hot knife or a lighter, or cut at an angle. Ribbons with a heat-cut edge are sealed along their whole length during production.
Can organza be made in the exact colour of my packaging?
Yes. In addition to the standard colours in stock, we dye organza ribbon to Pantone or to a sample of your packaging. Pearl, gold and silver shades are also available. Before the run we send a sample for shade approval, and minimum quantities depend on the article – send an enquiry.
What width of organza is suitable for gift pouches?
For tying small pouches and favour boxes, 6–15 mm is usually used; for standard gift wrapping, 20–25 mm; and for large bows and decoration, 40 mm and more. If you send us the size of the packaging, we will suggest the most suitable width and colour.
