Velvet ribbon – soft touch and deep colour
Velvet ribbon has a short, dense pile that absorbs light and gives the colour a depth that smooth ribbons cannot achieve. That is why it is chosen for elegant details on clothing, formalwear and childrenswear, hats, shoes and bags, for decorating furniture textiles and for luxury gift packaging. Winding and packaging
Narrow widths are wound on plastic spools, and wide ones on cardboard reels with flanges, which can be printed on request:

To keep the pile from being crushed, velvet ribbon is wound without excess tension and should be stored on its original reel.

Care
Polyamide velvet is strong and hard-wearing. We recommend a delicate wash at up to 40 °C, without wringing, and ironing on the reverse side on a low setting so the pile stays upright. When you enquire, tell us how the product will be cared for – that way we can suggest the most suitable type of ribbon.
Velvet, satin or grosgrain?
Velvet ribbon gives a soft, rich colour without sheen. For a smooth gloss choose satin ribbon, and for a stable ribbed ribbon – grosgrain. You will find all types in the ribbons section, and the other items for garment production in haberdashery.
