Rigid boxes

Made of thick board wrapped in paper, with a lid and base, magnetic closure or as a drawer with a sleeve. Rigid boxes are preferred for higher-end perfumes, limited editions and gift sets because they convey weight and value.

Set boxes

A box with an insert for several products – for example perfume and lotion, serum and cream or a make-up palette. Suitable for seasonal campaigns and corporate gifts.

Inserts

The insert holds the bottle in place and protects the glass from impact. It is made of board, foam or moulded pulp, with a cut-out that matches the exact shape of the product. In luxury boxes the insert can be covered in fabric or the same paper as the box for a seamless look.

Finishes

• Spot UV varnish: a gloss highlight that contrasts with a matt background.
• Embossing: a raised or debossed logo and decorative elements.

Cosmetic packaging usually carries the list of ingredients, directions for use, volume, batch number, barcode and recycling symbols.
