Engraved Buttons with Your Logo

Engraved buttons with a logo, lettering or ornament: laser engraving and relief on metal, corozo, wood, bone and polyester. Custom and wholesale.

Engraved buttons: your brand in every detail

Engraved buttons carry a logo, lettering, monogram or decorative motif applied directly to their surface. They turn an ordinary functional item into a recognisable brand signature and add a sense of finish and value. Polkom makes custom engraved logo buttons, wholesale, for fashion brands, clothing manufacturers, uniform and corporate wear producers, and ateliers that want their own signature on their garments.

Personalisation methods

Laser engraving

The laser removes a thin surface layer and leaves a precise, permanent outline. The method allows fine detail, small lettering and quick design changes, so it suits both small runs and large batches. On natural materials the engraving takes on a natural, slightly smoky tone.

Relief stamping

On metal buttons the logo is often produced in relief, raised or recessed, using a die. Relief suits jeans buttons, blazer buttons and uniforms and looks especially good combined with a patinated or polished finish.

Engraving with colour fill

The engraved grooves can be filled with paint in a contrasting colour. This makes the logo stand out clearly even at small sizes and from a distance.

Materials suitable for engraving

  • metal buttons: relief or laser, with various electroplated finishes;
  • corozo: crisp engraving on a dense natural base;
  • wood: a warm, smoky outline;
  • bone: a classic look, especially with colour-filled grooves;
  • polyester and urea: good contrast and consistent runs;
  • coconut shell and horn: a natural, unique effect.

Benefits of engraved buttons

  • stronger brand recognition;
  • a professional, finished look for the garment;
  • higher perceived value of the end product;
  • protection against copies, as a branded button is hard to substitute;
  • suitable for both small runs and industrial production.

What we need to make engraved buttons

  • your logo or lettering in vector format (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG);
  • the material, size (in lignes, 1L = 0.635 mm) and button model you want;
  • the button colour and, if applicable, the fill colour;
  • approximate quantity and timeline.

If you have not yet chosen a model, we will advise which material and method give the best result for your logo. With very fine detail, the artwork sometimes needs simplifying so that it stays legible on a 15–20 mm button.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What format should I send my logo in for engraving?
Ideally in vector format: AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. A vector file lets the logo be scaled without loss of quality and ensures clean outlines when engraved. If you only have a raster image, send it at the highest possible resolution and we will check whether it is suitable.
What is the difference between laser engraving and relief?
Laser engraving removes a thin surface layer and suits almost all materials and fine detail. Relief is produced with a die and is typical of metal buttons: the logo is raised or recessed and has a three-dimensional look. The choice depends on the material, the design and the quantity.
Can I see the engraved button before the full order?
Yes. Before mass production we make a sample with your logo on the chosen model. This lets you check the size of the engraving, its position, contrast and colour, and request corrections. Only after your written approval do we put the full batch into production, so the final result matches your expectations exactly.
How small can an engraved logo be?
It depends on the material and the complexity of the artwork. Simple marks and monograms remain legible even on small shirt buttons, while logos with many fine lines and small text need a larger diameter. We will review your design and, if needed, suggest a simplified version for the buttons.
