Boot hooks (AO-01)

Hooks are the classic lacing mechanism for boots, combat boots and high-top shoes: the lace is hooked on quickly without being threaded through a hole. They are available in iron and brass, in various shapes – with an open hook and with a ring.

Hook with bridge (AO-02)

An iron hook with an integrated bridge that strengthens the construction and guides the lace smoothly. Suitable for work and hiking shoes in intensive use.

Clamp buckle for straps and caps (AO-03)

A metal clamp with a toothed grip that tightens the strap or tape without holes. Used on shoe straps, hats and caps, tapes and leather accessories.

Shoe eyelets (AO-04)

How to choose the accessories

• Leather thickness: the shank of the hook or eyelet must pass through all layers and be set reliably.
• The lace: the eyelet opening and the hook spacing must match the thickness of the lace.
• Load: for work and hiking shoes, choose sturdier models such as the hook with a bridge.
• Look: select one finish for the hooks, eyelets and buckles of the model.

Fitting

Shoe hooks and eyelets are set with specialised tools and machines for footwear and leather, with a die for the relevant model. We recommend testing a sample on the actual leather and lining to check the strength of the fixing and the look on both sides.
