White and coloured coated paper

Smooth paper with a gloss or matt surface on which printing is vivid and detailed. It is usually laminated to make the bag stronger and more moisture-resistant. This is the choice for premium boutiques and luxury brands.

Handle types

• Cord: cotton or synthetic, in a colour of your choice, secured with a knot or metal tips.
• Ribbon: satin or grosgrain ribbon for an elegant look.
• Twisted paper: an economical and strong option, typical of kraft bags.
• Flat paper handle: for larger runs and everyday use.
• Die-cut handle: an opening cut into the bag itself, with no separate handle, for a clean look.

Finishes

• matt, gloss or soft-touch lamination;
• hot foil stamping in gold, silver or colour;
• embossed or debossed logo;
• spot UV varnish for highlights;
• printing on both sides and on the gussets.

For extra strength, the base and top edge are reinforced with board and the handle holes with an additional layer, so the bag can carry heavier purchases such as shoes or jackets.

Sizes

The size is chosen according to the product: small bags for jewellery, cosmetics and accessories, medium boutique bags for clothing and large bags for shoes, coats and outfits. Bags can be portrait or landscape. It is a good idea for a brand to have two or three standard sizes that cover the whole range.
