Jacquard elastic with logo – your brand on the waistband

Jacquard elastic is a woven elastic in which the logo, lettering or pattern is woven in coloured yarns during production. The logo is not printed but part of the tape itself – so it does not peel, does not fade and keeps its look after repeated washing and stretching. The visible waistband of underwear, sportswear or swimwear becomes a carrier of the brand. How the order works

1. Enquiry – you send the logo in vector format, width, colours, product and quantity.
2. Technical design – we adapt the logo to the width and structure of the elastic.
3. Sample – we weave a sample to check colour, size, stretch and handle.
4. Production – after approval the elastic is produced, wound on reels and delivered across the EU.

Jacquard elastic, print or label?

Jacquard is the most durable way to brand a visible waistband – the logo is woven in and withstands washing and stretching. When the tape does not need to stretch, for example for handles, hanger loops or bindings, choose jacquard ribbons. Combining with labels and packaging

Jacquard elastic works best as part of a complete brand look. The waistband logo can be repeated on woven labels, hang tags and the product packaging – in the same Pantone colours. This way the customer recognises the brand at first glance and every time they get dressed.

Preparing the design

For the best result, send the logo in vector format (AI, PDF or EPS) and state the Pantone colours. Because the elastic is woven with a limited number of yarns across its width, very thin lines and small letters can be lost. So in the design stage we sometimes suggest a bolder font or a simplified version of the mark – this keeps the logo clear even when stretched. Also state the repeat – how often the logo should repeat along the length, for example once on each side of the waistband or continuously.

Care

Jacquard elastic withstands regular washing at a temperature suited to the product. We recommend washing at up to 40 °C for underwear and sportswear, without bleach and without tumble drying on high heat, to preserve the stretch. The woven logo stays clear for the whole life of the garment.
