Material
The button is made of polyester with a textured pattern that recreates the look of natural horn – with shifting tones and veins, yet with the same colour from batch to batch.
Design and details
The cupped design has a recessed centre with two holes – the thread sits below the level of the rim and the shape is soft and rounded. The finish is glossy: the button looks lustrous and deep, and the colour appears richer.
Colour and pairing
A brown button is a classic for coats, tweed jackets, wool cardigans and trousers in autumn shades. Tip: a brown button softens navy and grey clothing and is a more casual alternative to black.
Choosing the size
Which size goes where:
- 15 mm – dresses, blouses and knitwear
- 18 mm – women's cardigans
- 20 mm – women's jackets and cardigans
- 22 mm – women's jackets and heavy knitwear
- 25 mm – women's coats
- 28 mm – large coats and statement buttons
Sewing on and buttonholes
With a two-hole button the stitching runs in a single line – a clean look and quick machine sewing. For coats and heavy fabrics, leave a 2–3 mm thread shank between the button and the fabric – that way the button fastens easily and the fabric does not pucker. Before cutting the buttonholes, make a test – as a guide: 15 mm – approx. 17–18 mm; 22 mm – approx. 24–25 mm; 28 mm – approx. 30–31 mm.
Frequently asked questions
Is PB-S06 available in several sizes for a matching set?
Yes, the design is available in 6 sizes – from 15 mm to 28 mm. Select each size separately in the menu and add the quantity you need.
Will the button withstand washing and ironing?
A polyester button keeps its shape, colour and shine through washing and ironing. When ironing at high temperature, do not press the iron directly onto the button.
