What is a button cover

A button cover is a decorative metal accessory that is placed directly over a button that is already sewn on. Underneath it has a hinged spring clasp: you open it, place the cover over the button and close it – the clasp grips the button and the cover stays firmly in place. No sewing is needed and the button underneath stays untouched.

This way an ordinary shirt, blouse or jacket gets a new look in seconds, and the covers come off and can be swapped as easily as they go on.
