Table legs – the base of every table

Table legs determine the stability, comfort and style of a table. The top can be solid wood, laminate, glass or stone, but it is the legs that decide whether the table looks light and modern or solid and classic. Polkom is a manufacturer of table legs and metal table frames for furniture factories, office furniture makers, joinery workshops, interior designers and retailers. Types of table legs

• single legs – square, rectangular, round or tapered, four per table;
• U-shaped and A-shaped legs – a metal profile that supports one side of the top;
• X-shaped and trapezoid legs – for dining tables with an industrial or modern look;
• pedestal bases (columns) – for round tables, coffee tables and restaurants;
• metal frames – a complete base with rails on which the top is placed.

Table leg height

For dining and office tables the standard leg height is approx. 710–730 mm – together with the top this gives a comfortable height for sitting and working. Coffee tables and side tables are considerably lower, and bar tables taller. In your inquiry, state the required finished table height and the thickness of the top so we can calculate the exact leg height.

Materials

We make table legs and frames from steel and stainless steel – for heavily used dining, conference and restaurant tables – and from aluminium for lighter constructions. The profile cross-section, wall thickness and the position of the cross rails are chosen according to the size and weight of the top. Adjustable feet can be fitted under the legs to level the table on uneven floors.

Colours and finishes

Black, anthracite and inox (stainless steel look) are the most popular, but we also offer chrome, satin (matt) chrome, gold, matt gold, bronze, antique brass, antique copper and rose gold, as well as powder coating in any colour – for example in the colour of the chairs or a restaurant's corporate identity. Custom table legs

For restaurant, hotel, office and retail projects we make legs and frames in specific dimensions, profiles and colours, including with a plate or engraved logo. If you are furnishing the whole space, you can also order sofa and armchair legs in the same finish, as well as connecting fittings – glass clamps and pipe flanges.

Fitting

Table legs are fixed to the top with a mounting plate and screws, and frames through pre-drilled holes in the rails. For glass tops, special holders are used. Tell us the material and thickness of the top so we can propose the right fixings.
