Coat hanger chain – a small detail that speaks for the brand

A coat hanger chain (also called a hanger loop chain) is the metal chain sewn inside the collar of a coat, jacket, blazer or fur coat. It lets the garment hang on a hook or peg without stretching or distorting the collar. For many brands the chain is also part of their identity: the metal plate in the middle carries the logo and is seen every time the customer takes the garment off. How the chain is made

A classic coat hanger chain consists of three parts:

• end pieces – rings or D-shaped end caps used to sew the chain onto the garment;
• chain – a flexible metal chain with the link style and thickness of your choice;
• metal plate – in the middle, plain or with your logo.

Each of the three parts can be adapted: the shape of the end pieces, the type and length of the chain, the size and shape of the plate. This way the chain matches the style of your collection exactly.

Any size and any metal colour

We make coat hanger chains in all sizes – from short, delicate chains for women's jackets and blouses to longer, heavier ones for men's coats and workwear. There is no limit on metal colours: gold, light gold, matte gold, rose gold, silver, nickel, gunmetal, black, antique brass and antique silver. The surface can be glossy, matte or brushed. With or without a logo

Sewing on and strength

The chain is sewn on through the rings or end pieces at both ends, so they must be strong and have smooth edges that do not cut the fabric. When making the sample we check the strength of the connections and how easy the chain is to sew on, so that it withstands the garment being hung up every day.
