Which Eyelets Can Have a Logo – Series, Sizes and Logo Area

Selected sizes of the standard KS eyelets, the flat KP eyelets and the KT tarpaulin eyelets can carry a logo, as can the KL series, which was created specifically for branding – with a raised logo, lettering or pattern on the flange. The KM mesh eyelets, the KO oval eyelets and the KF shaped eyelets are offered without a logo. The logo is made in relief, in a finish of your choice – gold, black nickel colour, copper, nickel colour and others.

In this article you will find a table by series, how much room for a logo the flange offers at different sizes and how to prepare the logo so that it looks good even on a small eyelet.

Exactly which sizes of the KS, KP and KT series can be made with a logo we confirm on inquiry – it depends on the size and the complexity of the logo.

KL series – eyelets with a logo

KL-10: raised logo or lettering

KL-10 is an eyelet with the logo or lettering raised all around the flange. It is suitable for the brand name, a short slogan or a monogram repeated around the circumference. It is offered in a finish of your choice – gold, black nickel colour, copper, nickel colour and others from the finish chart.

KL-20: raised pattern

KL-20 carries a pattern to your design – zigzag, dots, geometric motifs. The pattern is particularly striking in antique finishes, where the recesses darken and the relief stands out. It is a good solution for brands that want a recognisable detail without a written name.

How much room there is for the logo

The logo sits on the flange – the ring between the inner hole and the outer edge. Its width is approximately (D − d) / 2. Here are some examples calculated from the catalogue dimensions:

CodeD, mmd, mmFlange width, approx. mmSuitable logo
KS-0173.61.7pattern, dots, a very short mark
KS-12157.683.7a short name in bold letters
KP-07157.383.8a short name repeated around the circumference
KS-2125136brand name and mark
KS-274627.79.2lettering and logo, more complex graphics
KT-0162.239.611.3company name, phone, website

The conclusion is clear: on small eyelets the logo must be simplified – a mark, initials or a pattern. A full name in small letters only reads well on a flange several millimetres wide.

Where a logo eyelet has the greatest effect

A logo eyelet is a small detail, but it sits where the eye naturally goes. It works best where the eyelet is visible and touched often:

  • sweatshirts and hoodies – the eyelets for the hood drawcord are right below the face;
  • denim and jackets – eyelets on pockets, waistbands and cuffs, as a set with the buttons and rivets;
  • shoes and trainers – the top lace eyelets, which are the most visible;
  • bags and backpacks – eyelets for handles, straps and cords, often with a larger diameter and a wide flange;
  • awnings, sunshades and tarpaulins – the No. 66 eyelets of the KT series, which have room for the company name.

For eyelets that stay under a hem or on the reverse side, a logo is rarely worth it – there it is more sensible to choose a standard eyelet in the same finish.

How to prepare the logo

  • Vector file – AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. A raster image cannot be turned into good-quality relief.
  • Simplified version – thin lines, small text and gradients get lost. Prepare a version with thicker lines.
  • Text direction – decide whether the lettering follows the circumference or is horizontal, and how many times it is repeated.
  • Finish – relief looks different in a polished and an antique finish. If you are not sure, ask for samples in two finishes.
  • Set – consider putting the same logo on the snap buttons, rivets and buttons of the item, so that the metal accessories look like one whole.

If the chosen eyelet has no logo

If the item requires an oval, mesh or shaped eyelet, the brand can be present in another way:

  • use a KL series logo eyelet in the same finish in a visible place, and the functional eyelets in a hidden one;
  • choose a KF shaped eyelet with a form that hints at the brand – the shape itself becomes a recognisable mark;
  • place the logo on an adjacent element – a metal plate, a buckle or a label.

From the idea to production

  1. Send the logo in vector format, the item and the material.
  2. We will suggest a suitable size and finish, checking that the logo fits on the flange.
  3. We make a sample before production – you can set it on your material.
  4. After approval, the production order follows.

All options for branding accessories – eyelets, buttons, snap buttons, buckles and plates – are gathered on the Branding page. See the full range in the eyelets category.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the smallest eyelet that can have a logo?
The KL series covers sizes from 7 to 48 mm, in selected sizes. On the smallest eyelets the flange is less than 2 mm wide, so a pattern, dots or a very simplified mark is suitable rather than a written name. Send us the logo – we will check whether it fits and suggest the smallest suitable size.
Why are mesh eyelets and oval eyelets offered without a logo?
The KM, KO and KF series are offered in their standard version, without a logo. If the item requires such an eyelet, the brand can be present through a KL series logo eyelet in the same finish in a visible place, or through another branded element – a metal plate, a buckle or a label.
Which finishes can a logo eyelet have?
Logo eyelets are made in a finish of your choice – gold, black nickel colour, copper, nickel colour, antique brass, gunmetal and others from our finish chart, all nickel free. Raised patterns are particularly striking in antique finishes, where the recesses darken. We confirm the available finishes for a specific size on inquiry.
