A polyester buckle is the most versatile choice when the belt has to continue the colour and character of the buttons. It is cast from polyester resin – the same material used for fashion buttons – and can therefore reproduce a mother-of-pearl, horn, tortoiseshell, marble or stone effect. Why a polyester buckle
A metal buckle brings shine, a covered buckle disappears into the fabric, and a polyester buckle sits in between: it is a decorative element in its own right, but in tune with the collection. Its greatest advantage is that it can be coloured and shaped with almost no limits.

The shapes one by one
Rectangular
The rectangular polyester buckle is the classic for coat and trench coat belts – for women and men. It follows the line of the belt and accentuates the waist without unnecessary decoration. In dark brown horn or with a pearl effect it looks especially elegant.
Round
The round buckle is more feminine and is chosen for dresses, tunics and light summer coats. With a brushed texture or a pearl effect it looks contemporary, with a horn effect it looks classic.
Octagonal
The octagonal shape sits between the circle and the square – geometric, but without sharp corners. It gives character to trench coat belts and men's coats and stands out without being loud.
Rounded
The rounded shape – a rectangle or square with soft corners – is the most universal. It suits both women's and men's models and does not wear the fabric during everyday use.
Asymmetric
The asymmetric buckle is a fashion-forward, designer shape. It is an accent in itself and suits designer collections, dresses and belts where the buckle is the centre of the model.
Effects and surfaces
The effect is created when the polyester is cast and coloured, so each buckle has a slight natural variation in its pattern – just like the natural materials it imitates.

Sizes from 2 to 6 cm
We make polyester buckles in sizes of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 cm according to the width of the belt. The inner opening should be equal to the width of the belt or slightly wider, and for a double wool coat belt also taller, so the belt passes freely.
- 2 – 3 cm – dresses, tunics, thin belts and cuff details;
- 4 cm – trench coats, jackets and trouser belts;
- 5 – 6 cm – belts on women's and men's coats and trench coats.

With or without a prong
Polyester buckles are made in both versions. Without a prong the belt is threaded and adjusted freely – the solution for coats, trench coats and dresses with a tie belt. With a prong the belt fastens in a hole and stays in an exact position – more practical for trouser belts and tighter-fitting models. Care and durability
Polyester buckles do not rust and do not stain the fabric. With the right technology they withstand washing and dry cleaning together with the garment, so they are also suitable for coats that are cleaned regularly. For belts worn every day we recommend a thicker profile and rounded edges – this way the buckle does not rub the fabric and keeps its effect for a long time.
How to order polyester buckles
- Choose the shape and size according to the width of the belt.
- Choose the effect and send a sample of the fabric or button for the colour.
- Specify whether the buckle has a prong or not.
- Approve the sample on the actual belt.
- After approval, series production begins.
